The Ones That Stay
Not every encounter leaves a mark. Some pass through us like weather – present for a moment, then gone. But some stay. They settle somewhere deep and do not leave.
This series is a collection of those encounters. People and moments that touched her in some way – not always loudly, not always obviously, but enough to remain. Faces that stayed with her long after the moment had passed.
Katharina doesn’t always know why certain encounters hold on and others fade. But she has learned to trust that feeling – the one that tells you: this one matters. This one stays.
These paintings are her way of honoring that.
